hi support team, I have setup NPVR to capture through my PVR-150 successfully, it works great! Thanks for your support information.Smile

Now my questions are:
1. the capture bit rate is different from the native WinTV program. NPVR generates the output video files with 4500kbps. WinTV program generates 8000kbps. Where can I get this change? I have checked "config.xml" in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\NPVR, but can't figure out which parameters should I change.

2. I set the manual recording through the web interface. how can i set it to save as .MPG instead of .TS? I know the files are actually in MPEG format, but it would be better to have the extension saved exactly as MPG.

Thanks.

See the <Bitrate> and <BitratePeak> settings in the <Analog> section of config.xml.

There is no setting for this NPVR always records .TS files.

Thanks for your information. I tried with the following in config.xml, looks working fine:
<Analog>
<Bitrate>8000000</Bitrate>
<BitratePeak>8000000</BitratePeak>
<BitrateMode>VBR</BitrateMode>
</Analog>

btw, is there difference if I change BitrateMode to "CBR"? I have set both Bitrate, BitratePeak as 8000k.

thanks.
