Guide channel name size compared to gbpvr

I have one remaining niggle that I get moaned at about.
With NPVR the channel name is truncated whereas with gbpvr it went to a second line as shown below. With the "Discovery" ones, it shows it to its worst.
Any thoughts of a tweak for this? I've looked at the skins, but what is in them is a touch beyond me as a newbie to what all the keywords may be.

You'd need to tweak the "C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Skin\Default\TV Guide\Guide.xml" file. Some of the things you'd probably have to do:

- decrease the visibleChannels in the "Guide" element (maybe set it to 6)
- tweak the "Guide" element to make it taller (maybe size="80.68,8.12")
- tweak the "Channels" element to make the element taller (maybe set size="15.45,8.12")
- tweak the "Channels" element to give more space to the "@name" and add wrap="true"

Remember, this file will be overwritten with each new version of the application, so back the file up.

just a thought; you could shorten\rename the channel names, e.g. 'Disc +1'. This way you'll have more lines of epg visible on the screen, making looking for something interesting to watch a little easier.

I think I'll have to try both methods to see which keeps the home quietest some of the show names get truncated a bit quick as well, so if they can get to be two liners, then I think I could put up with few channels displayed on the EPG.... I'll see which goes down best.

I'm also interested by this thread, would it be possible to just display the channel icons? Your icons (like mine) seem to show clearly the channel and it would give more space for programmes. I don't think this option is in NPVR (like GB_PVR) but I guess I could play with the skin to make the channel name column near to zero width.
