Hi,

Can anyone advise. Since I installed a new graphics card, I am getting interference on one of my DVB-T multiplexes. It is Mux 2 that I lose ( C33- 569.8MHz ).

- My graphics card is an ASUS ATI HD 5450.
- My DVB-T card is a Hauppauge Nova-T-500 PCI (new model, solid state tuners).

The TV tuner actually sits at 90 degrees to the graphics card due to the orientation of the PC case (it's a Dell). It works fine if the lid of the case is off, but as soon as the lid goes on the DVB-T signal breaks up.

My solution to continued reception is to put a 23dB amp on the input of the DVB-T card and add a sheet of tin foil to the back of the graphics card to give it a ground plane.

Anyone have any better ideas?

Thanks Smile

Might the problem not be heat and ventilation of the DVB-T card in the small form factor Dell case?

it also may be the card is hitting or getting very near the metal lid, causing interference...
ground plane may be only solution...make sure card is grounded well at screw/rail...
