Main menu

Apparently, in order to see the main menu, you have to set the following in config.xml:

<General>
<PvrMode>true</PvrMode>

If you set the above to false, then you get what I have described.
This doesn't seem proper to me.

That is correct. See my last post on the previous page. "false" means it's it "TV Viewer" mode for people that only want a simple TV viewing application without all the other things (movie/music library, etc.)

Okay, thanks for the tip. I guess what I found out before seeing what you wrote is the same as what you wrote. Who would have known? Okay, we learn something new every day. Thank you all for all your help.

The default is PVR mode, which has all the menus and screens, but at some point you must have switched to 'TV Viewer' mode. As you've discovered, this is a basic mode for those users that dont want all the menus etc and just want to watch tv. Instead they just control things via the context menu, and can watch tv, or open a file and thats about it.
