Of course your suggestion sub probably was the best one....but I deleted the entire NPVR directory in applications data before your comment, and that fixed the problem. Do you think the db3 file became corrupted? Now I need to figure out what changes I made to my config.xml ( entries to enable martin's mvpmc and try and get the rest of the config back to the way it used to be).
I did save the entire old hierarchy for NPVR Application Data, including the old db3 file if anyone is interested in it. I can zip it up or whatever. But it seems I am out of the rut. Weird stuff! Thanks for everyone's help.
