McBainUK Wrote:Hey Imline. I have some ideas for new menu replacement features, would you be oj with sharing the source code?

Also, is the 'Activation' step a temporally work around or is this the only way to get a replacement menu plugin working in NextPVR?

PM me an email address and I'll send it on over.

Most of it is still sub's code anyway. The activation step is just what it has to do I'm afraid. Sub made it so that NPVR will only use another menu if those xml files don't exist. In an earlier version it was just the entry in global.xml though.

PM sent.

Is this going to be forever? Seems a strange design.

I have been using this plug-in with my main computer, and really like the functionality. I'm building a system for the living room now, and would love to use this, too, but I've hit a snag: I don't have a problem with WAF, rather the DAF - my daughter really dislikes the horizontal menu, and wants to use the vertical. I hadn't realized that SubMenu didn't support the vertical until I tried installing it and it never seemed to take, and then I was transported to horizontal.

So, is there any chance this will ever be updated to support the vertical menu?

Thanks.

Realistically, probably not, but I promise I'll take another look at the code and see if I can my head around what it would take. You could always spin your TV through 90 degrees in the meantime...

Your suggestion might be a little annoying, but I just hear it in my head with a Scottish accent and it's all okay. Wink Thanks for looking at it, when you have the chance.

Don't know what this might be written in, and it's quite likely that I've not coded much in whatever it is, but I can read most anything, anyway. I saw elsewhere you shared the code, worst I could do to myself is get confused...

Here's everything I have on it. The source files at the top level are not used, they're just dumped there for reference. The 'live' code is all in /src.

Sub's coding style is completely different from mine, so what's there will be a total mess of the two. Vertical.cs is the code for the vertical menu, but it's a long time since sub gave me it and it's quite likely it's not up to date any more. It obviously doesn't have any of the SubMenu functionality embedded into it.
