Pause problems . 2.5.5 and older versions

hi, I've been having problems with Pausing live TV. I've tried lots of different decoders but it doesn't seem to make any difference.

the problem is that when i un-pause, I either get a black screen (with sound) or, i get pixelation and then it skips bits. So at the moment, I dare not use it.

Hey Sub, has this progressed up your list yet? At the moment, skipping through any video is problematic. Sometimes it will just freeze for a period. Sometimes i have to skip again to sort it.

The freeze when skipping may be related to the decoder you are using, I'v found that the LAV decoder freezes almost all the time when skipping or at commercial autoskip. Try Cyberlink PDVD12 video decoder.

I did investigate these reports prior to 2.5.9, but I was unable to reproduce the problem.

Before V2.5.5 I had several lockups while skipping every week but not had a single lockup or blank screen since so am reluctant to update to 2.5.9!! I use the ffdshow decoder although the Cyberlink seem just as reliable but have always had problems with the LAV video decoders.

I have never been able to get good results with ffdshow in combination with ATI graphic cards, I have tried several Cyberlink decoders and by far PDVD12 is the best I'v tried.
