HELP ! I've broken it :-(

I've had a few issues with certain channels freezing on adverts. I read that the latest SAF codecs can help so I decided to have a clear-out and install the latest SAF6. unfortunately i've managed to brake something in the process.

Now, whenever I try to watch live TV, NDigitalHost.exe crashes. I've attached my logs and config. i can watch recordings ok but not live. Also, if i try to record something, that also fails.

I'm now in big trouble with the wife - help!

just switched tuners around and it looks like it is only happening on non-hd sat channels. hd sat channels are ok and freeview channels are ok. I'll try reinstalling the card drivers.

Nope, that didn't help. I think it might be everything on the DVB-S tuner.

There doesn't seem to be any sign of errors in those logs, so I dont have much to go on.

It shouldn't be related to SAF though. As far as I know, this just installs decoders, and these aren't used by the recording side of things.

Is there any error message in the Windows Event Viewer?

It is just the DVB-S tuner. it could be the tuner at fault but it's a multi-tuner card and the other tuners (DVB-T/DVB-T2) are functioning fine. also, it was functioning fine before I "tidied up" yesterday (but again, that could be a coincidence).

To be honest, I'm not really sure what to suggest.

If you create a c:\temp directory, when it crashes does a crash.mdmp file get created in that directory?

Ok, so enable the tuner again, break it, create the dump file, disable it again. Sounds simple enough.

So i put the tuner back in and move it to the top. Start viewing a channel. Works fine. doh! I checked to make sure it is using the "dodgy" tuner and it is.

Lets see what happens next then but at the moment, it looks like it has magically fixed itself.
