I tweaked one thing: I think you must have accidentally typed "NextVPR"!

I also added a little detail about the Firewall settings. I recall when I set mine up that everything worked with 127.0.0.1 when both XBMC and NPVR were on the same machine. Which meant that when it failed as I tried XBMC on a second machine with the correct explicit server IP ('192.168.1.215' in my case), I knew it probably wasn't XBMC or NPVR causing the trouble -- it had to be network related.

I know time is of the essence on the screenshots, so I'll try to get to that tomorrow. This evening, I spoke in front of city council about a floor space ratio calculation bylaw change for my area. I'm in favour, because it should pave the way for me to (eventually) build out a nice man-cave into which I can put all my XMBC and NPVR goodness!

Slowly, slowly! Can't see why time is so much of the essence? This add-on is still in early dev days by sub? But also on flip-hand great that it is already well documented. Love your spirit, still suggest you get an edit account over at xbmc to help?

My man-cave was plastered today by my builder. I have waited 2 years for it to get there. Can't wait to actually move into it!

cheers

This is partially incorrect on the wiki that is for clients not the host.

Code:
The XBMC add-on currently requires a Server Name (a static IP is preferred) and Port (default '8866'). This can be set on the Devices settings page.

The port is set "NMT & Web" and the IP is not configured in NextPVR, it is the IP of the backend server

Thanks Martin as ever. Am hoping Karyudo will take over this bit of the wiki. Great work done by Karyudo here, but as usual with wiki work tweaks needed!

thanks Martin, cheers all

Fixed. (Or changed, anyway.) I think it's now accurate...

Right, Martin?
