Is there a wiki or setup for "best" playback for live tv? It seems I get fine playback on standard channels through the xbmc pvr addon, but when I have high def (720p & 1080i), I get jumping video and it will lock if I don't stop the video first. I'm a noob and any help directions to read is greatly appreciated.

That really is an XBMC question, from a NextPVR view you pretty much just have to make sure the signal is good otherwise garbage in garbage out. If you are streaming via wifi, connection speed could be the issue.

I have problems streaming HD channels to my bedroom machine over wireless, it just pauses & buffers constantly even though I know the machine can handle HD playback. Sd channels are fine.
I'm going to invest in a homeplug pack for the bedroom machine to resolve this issue.

My wireless N is 72mpbs. Since the sd channels appear fine, I'm going to try to upgrade to a "300 mbps" wirless usb card. I will add an update for anyone interested.

With wireless, you not only have to worry about the speed but also dropped/lost packets caused by interference.

How do I minimize this. I am using tomatousb have it setup for wireless N only, scanned for the non-used channels (or least used) - made sure to use only channel 1, 6, or 11, used "Green Field," and boosted the signal to 60 for my rt-n16 router. Is there anything else or any other help for the wireless?
