Can't get TE running on the Nexus 7. Stalls with spinning wheel at Populating Database Day 7. Logs attached. You can see many tries, all with same result. nDroid service 1.8.8.

The data files are in the data directory.

Could there be something in the Day 7 data that is choking it?

The service logs look fine. Not sure what could be causing it - it could be the Day 7 data but after that, it imports scheduled and recurring recordings then the genre info - it could be failing on one of those.

Could you post your schedrecxml.zip, recurringrecxml.zip and epggenresxml.zip? Also day7xml.zip as well.

Sorry, I'm not sure what the problem is. Does nDroid v1.8.7 run OK on the tablet?

I'm hoping to put out another release of nDroid TE tonight or tomorrow and I'll add some more user info to the download screen.

nDroid 1.8.7 hangs at "Creating EPG update timer... Pending recordings"

The nDroid service is running on my test box, there are only 2 pending recordings.

I could try it on my main HTPC if that might help. Many more recordings, etc on that one.

Logs from today attached. The attempts were at about 14:30.

Ah...we've possibly found the root of the problem for both nDroid and nDroid TE (he says hopefully).

Check this thread FIX: nDroid v1.8.7 hangs at "Creating EPG update timer..."

It should fix the problem for both.

That did it (for both nDroid and (TE)! I read that thread yesterday, and didn't think about it today when it got to EPG.

Listening to music (flac) at the moment on TE. Just crashed, so I sent a report.

Can't playback recorded or live TV. Do I need a special player? Never mind, found the player thread. I'll investigate.

Good to hear, thanks for the confirmation.

The music player in TE is basically the same code as nDroid 1.8.7 and is still in development - I've only really tested it with mp3 files. Post the nDroidServiceStreamer.log and give approximate time of the crash and I'll see if it's service-end.

At the moment TE is just a mock-up for feedback purposes but if you mean v1.8.7 then, yes, get a media player app for recordings/videos/live tv.

Cheers,
Brian

Thanks for the info. I'll get the logs for music playing on the TE, and go to the TE feedback thread. I think we're done here. Again, thanks, and nice work.
