Hi there,

NDroid is working great with recorded TV (note I've loaded vlc on my nexus) but live TV just gives me a black screen. Does anyone have any idea what the issue here may be?

nDroid doesn't have any direct control over live TV playback - it simply makes a request to the Android OS to find a suitable app that can play the live TV stream from the NextPVR web server. Basically nDroid is just a middle man when it comes to Live TV.

I've got a lot of respect for the VLC developers but I've never had much success with the Android version - I use MX Player which handles my recordings and live TV without problems.

Many thanks, just downloaded it. Do you use any special codec? So far MX is just doing circles on live TV but recordings are playing fine same as VLC.

Two things to check for live tv...

1. Make sure the npvr web server is running and any firewall software allows access.
2. Make sure your nDroid username & password are the same as used for the npvr web server
