Without it the default is to decode mp2 audio so there is a longer delay. Client tuning isn't super fast though.

So as of right now my channel switching problem is almost gone just a slight audio out of sync when i switch and also now sometimes with video it has what appears to be a refresh rate problem the screen has a dark stuttering overlay on it

my decoder setting are as followed

Video Decoder
MPEG 2 - Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder
H.264 - DTV-DVD Video Decoder

Audio Decoder
Mpeg 1 - MPEG Audio Decoder
Everything Else - LAV Audio Decoder

Is Video Render set to EVR and Audio Renderer to Default? Another free option for Audio Decoder that you might want to try is AC3Filter (http://www.ac3filter.net/), which is what I'm using - not that I've heard any complaints about LAV. What tuner are you using? Some of the older cards don't work very well with 64-bit operating systems.

Sorry for all the questions, but the logs you posted were rather incomplete. I was about to nag you for more logs when I saw your post #7. BTW why was there a MACOSX folder in your client logs folder? Since the HD Homerun Prime is an all-digital device, you might as well set every audio format except AC3 to Disabled; and there's no reason not to take Martin's advice, if you haven't already. He is very knowledgeable. If you should find that one or more channels go silent, then turn MPEG Audio Decoder back on. Are your remaining problems confined to the client? When you open Settings, do you see a warning regarding DirectX?

I think the reason for the mac os folder is because i used a mac to zip the client logs every other problem is client specific there is no directX error and as for the incomplete logs i don't really know what else you want

I was hoping someone who had actually experienced your problem would reply since I was fresh out of ideas. Under Settings > Misc, is Live TV Buffer set to a valid directory? Some users have recommended excluding the Live TV folder from anti-virus scanning to avoid choppy video. If audio is persistently out of sync, then try AC3Filter instead of LAV. [Edit] Does this occur when playing recordings?
