NextPVR not recognizing Hauppauge HVR-2250 in Windows 8 64 bit

When I click on the NPVR tray icon and click show status the device screen opens but there is nothing there. Obviously WinTV 7 recognizes the 2250 and it is listed in device manager. Can anyone help me with this?

Can you visit the Settings->Devices screen, then zip and attach your npvr.log file?

Thanks for your reply. I have good news and bad news. Apparently i'm a case of not RTFI. I didn't even know about the Settings menu. So I set up the 2250 as a capture card and it scanned for channels and that went fine. I also had to make a C: \Temp folder for buffering to watch Live TV as I didn't have a temp file.. Now my problem is that when I click on Live TV I get audio but no video. I just get a black screen. What do I do now?

RTFI again :-).

In settings there is a screen about decoders. You (a) need to have them on your machine (which is highly likely already) and (b) need to select them one by one and test them to see which works best for you, for your type of video stream.

Never mind. I also had to set the video decoders. Now I have video.
