Cannot setup HDHomeRun Prime

I have a new HDHomeRun Prime connected to Dell/Win7 PC running NextPVR. In the NextPVR settings/device setup window, when I run the scan-for-channels function for any of the tuners, the result is an empty list. I attached the log file, which contains numerous error messages related to a string length parameter less than 0. Can anyone suggest what might be going wrong here?

Side note - when I try loading that file with the "Import Channels" button in device settings, I get an error message "Object reference not set to an instance of an object".

Yeah, you definitely won't be able to do that. The 'import channels' button can only be used to import an xml file you created using the 'export channels' button.

Do have a cable card in your device, and are these digital cable channels or ATSC?

No, I do *not* have a cable card installed. In the HDHR setup app, I left all 3 tuners configured as CableCARD Source Type. I am using a cable connection here (Verizon FIOS) -- perhaps I should change my HDHR setup (Source Type) from CableCARD to Digital Cable?

It's basically unhappy that you've got "major.minor" numbers in your <GuideNumber> node of this xml. I'm pretty sure you're getting these because it doesn't have cablecard installed, so isn't getting the real channel list from the device. Instead it's managing to find a few of these major.minor numbers from the rebroadcast ATSC channels.

Sorry, there isn't really anything I can suggest to get it going other than installing a cablecard so that you can get the real channel list.

If you don't intend you use a cable card, then you'll probably need to stick to using the 'QAM' device type using the BDA drivers, and leave the 'HDHR' device type with no channels.
