Hi

I have a process each night which updates my XMLTV at 1am, then a few hours later, nPVR is set to automatically update the EPG, but it never does. I can confirm that the XML is successfully updating each night, but if I don't do a manual EPG refresh, it never happens by itself.

I notice this is a bit of an ongoing issue, but I haven't been able to find a solution.

The permissions on the XML are fine, as is the folder in which it is located. The XML is complete and is definitely there, but this is showing up in the nrecord.log:

[INDENT]2013-08-09 04:02:25.031 [DEBUG][8] Checking for any XMLTV listings
2013-08-09 04:02:25.067 [DEBUG][8] Will process xmltv file: C:\Users\Steve\Dropbox\Documents\XML\icetv.xml
2013-08-09 04:02:25.097 [DEBUG][8] Skipping non-existant xmltv file: C:\Users\Steve\Dropbox\Documents\XML\icetv.xml
2013-08-09 04:02:25.097 [DEBUG][8] channelEventLists.Count=0[/INDENT]

So, yeah. Not sure what the issue is. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

Is the recording service running as user "Steve"? If not, it is most likely a permissions issue with the folder (or one of it's parents).

It was set to Local System Account. I just changed it to use my login. Will see how it goes tonight.

If you prefer to run the service under the local system account, you can move the xmltv file to C:\EPG or someplace neutral like that.
