There can be a gremlin that effects the he-AAC decoding if you have the mpeg1 decoder set to anything.

I would definitely try lemming's suggestion (i.e. set MPEG1 to Disabled) before installing another decoder. In the U.S. a similar issue can affect two-channel AC3 audio streams, but apparently not the six-channel streams used by our HDTV channels: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...ter-Graph&

the LAV decoder seems to have come right - well at least i dont hear the audio stuttering anymore... but i do wonder if thats because i watch recordings more than live tv?

Yes the U.S. version of the issue only affects live TV (and only on certain TV channels, but audio tracks might be more uniform in NZ). If you seldom watch live TV and some of your recordings have MPEG1 audio, another option is to leave MPEG1 enabled but change <ForcedLiveTVClock> in Config.xml. Of course this might all be moot when sub releases the new version. I know NPVRTSReader2.ax has some changes.

We never use live tv. Only recordings. Perhaps your video decoder is causing timing issue? Which one is it? I use the default Microsoft ones as part of w7
