So I like Walking dead and fast and loud. I record the entire seasons for both. The thing is I want to record all Walking dead episodes no matter what but fast and loud only if Walking dead is not being recorded. I don't see and a option to do that. I moved from Mythtv(where i could prioritize shows) when comcast pushed a dta on my that will not work with any of the blasters that I have tried in lirc. But it work great in Windows. So long story short. I have one tuner. Is there a way to prioritize reoccurring shows?

Thanks,
Betolley

It's a bit manual, but if you schedule Walking Dead before Fast and Loud, then Walking dead is a higher priority and will be scheduled first, before Fast and Loud, effectively giving you what you're asking for.

Adding something to adjust the priority after initial creation is on my to-do list for the future.

It's worth pointing out here that the order shown on the Recurring Recordings list is the order that they'll be processed during the EPG update/scheduling process. It's possible to change the display order now though (Ctrl-S), make sure the Sort is set to "Sort by Priority".

Stupid question, CTRL-S changes the sort order by A-Z, Z-A, priority. But how do you change the priority? Is there a move up/down list?

...er maybe that's what sub meant by "on my to-do list".

I suppose I could export, cut-and-paste in the xml file to get the order I want, then clear recurring recordings in NPVR and import?

Hardly a stupid question. You can't change the priority. Yet. Sub keeps saying he'll add that feature, one day. For now all you can do to move a recording to a lower priority is delete it and then create it again. Or do like me and have so many tuners you have no reason to worry about priority.
At your own risk you can edit the database directly to mess with priority.
