3.1.1 Playback\Recording Issues

I just recently upgraded to 3.1.1 + patches through #8 and now I am having problems watching recorded shows. They play fine up until about the 30 minute mark (not sure if this is related to the timing info thread). Then it will freeze and eventually just go back to the recordings menu. Attached are two logs with two different recordings that this happened to (new recordings since the upgrade to 3.1.1). I watched another recording that was recorded prior to the upgrade and that appears to playback fine in 3.1.1. I then tried one of the problem recordings on another computer that is currently running 2.6.2 and that recording also freezes and then goes back to the recordings menu. I *think* it stopped at the same location but I wasn't paying close attention to it.

Any thoughts?

Windows is reporting EOF which is why it would sto on 2.6 as well

Although not the sameTiming.Info issue as johnsonx42 s=maybe upload yours to see if the data is stalling

Attached is one of the timing.info files. Interesting that Windows thinks it's EOF. With a little work, I am able to play the full recording.

What if you try that file from a local drive?

Well, it appears that the one file is corrupt. I tried copying it back to the local drive where it was originally recorded to and Windows throws an error about half way through. I have some new recordings going on tonight so I will try to watch those within the next couple of nights and report back. Right now, I'm leaning towards something went wrong with my system because those two recordings in question were recording at the same time.

Just reporting back. Unfortunately the cause of the freezing/stuttering of the recordings is because I am having a hard drive failing. Yay me! The drive lasted a whopping four months. I have a replacement on order and I'll deal with the warranty afterwards. Currently treading on thin ice trying to do a second backup before a complete failure happens. I have my primary backups but I want to backup whatever changed since. Thankfully my backup logfiles tell me which ones are corrupt so I can deal with them. Thanks Martin for your help on this.
