Hey guys, I have a few of these: http://www.amazon.com/SANOXY%C2%AE-Windo...mce+remote
that I had in my previous setup with MCE. They worked great in MCE but I am using remotes software to force it to work in Nextpvr.

The biggest pet peeve I have is scrolling the guide. If the user hold down the down button, it will "read ahead" the key strokes and the guide will keep scrolling.

It does work as a mouse and keyboard, so I am wondering if that is my biggest problem. Would the experience in Nextpvr be greatly improved if I upgrade the remotes?

Thanks,
Steve

Steve, when using the Hauppauge remote with a MediaMVP as an NPVR client, the channel buttons page up and down through the guide. It's MUCH faster than using the arrow keys. Does this work with your remotes?

Yes the page up and page down buttons works better. I still have the "read ahead" key presses with any of the buttons if they are held down. Its usually a problem with the up and down arrows for anyone using it the first time.

I looked at it last night. I think it could be that I am using LM Remote Keymap to remap the buttons to work.

I think I might try one of the remotes that Mikeh49 listed. I am 100% sure that my current remotes are recognized as a keyboard and mouse and so I am unable to use registry hacks to reprogram buttons and had to use LM Remote Keymap to even get the back button to exit Nextpvr.

Thanks again!
