Sub, is there a USB or PCI-e card that supports FM for NPVR? My wife would really like to use NPVR to listen to her favorite radio stations through our hifi system instead of our little radio.
Thanks my friend. I am contacting them now as to whether they still make these. It seems dumb to use Kodi to play FM until you think about using a high end hifi to play it.
Check to see if the stations you want are available as internet radio which you can use as IPTV. The stations will sound a lot better if you find a URL. The analog capture is hifi quality either.

I have a TV Wonder tuner with FM capability, do you intend to provide FM radio in NextPVR v5 ?
At this stage I'm undecided if I will add FM radio. There is a type of tuner addon a user can create though ("Extras"). As long as you can make .bat/.sh/.exe file that output a transport stream (using ffmpeg or whatever combination of utilities you want), then you can plug it into NextPVR and it'll just appear like a normal channel, and NextPVR will take care of watching/recording etc.
So far in Windows I can only create an extra that plays one direct show channel but it does that very well.
The backend does need modification to stream audio only channels to the browser which I've mentioned before, there is a question mark on -map 0:v:0? and ideally radio extras should support major minor so typical FM frequencies could be channel numbers.
