Having recently gone through the nausea of setting up my USB PVR150 as the tuner for my Sky STB output and having to enter all the channel and blaster numbers I am very wary of upsetting things.

Q. Does the import button on the setup for analogue channels merge, overwrite, replace or whatever the existing channels. This to setup new channels that appear in the xml EPG source.

I know with DVB-T scanning that existing channels are greyed out and only new ones have check boxes. I just wonder what happens with analogue. I'm so wary of having to set the all up again......

Make a backup of your npvr.db3 before you test it and let us know... Big Grin

The problem is which of the many backups to restore.... I'll try to pluck up courage in the morning.

thats why you use the date in backup names
also just select sort in order of oldest to newest normally tells you which is the newest at least

It was said in jest.
I copy the database file.
I copy the program and data directories
I email the database file to a backup gmail account
I backup the C drive to NAS1
I sync NAS1 to NAS2

by the time I've done the backups it's too late to mess around Wink

Seems to just add them all to the end of the existing channels. (boo)
It would be nice if it was like digital where new are bold and existing dim.

Yeah, analogue is the stepchild of npvr, luckily not many use it these days. Is there no way you could skip the STB and receive digital?

I have in the past, Nova dvb-s tuner and linux and a smargo card reader. But the problem was slow channel changes on live tv for hopping around.
I guess most recording is done now on DVB-T and FTA DVB-S channels, with a reduced number of STB channels and the quality is acceptable.
