I am loving this release, as there are some things that have really improved the ease of use by the family. Love the new pop-up on the live tv page which only shows available channels on the "all channels" page! I have a few questions about some things happening, and wanted to know if they are on purpose, only with me, or maybe bugs.
1) Filter in recordings:
a) It seems that I only can filter in the Ready Recordings page, and not the What's New page.
b) If a recording goes directly to a Filter Folder through the Directory in the update recording page (say "Kids" instead of the main Folder), it's not showing up in the Filter. Only recordings that I have moved through Files or Archive show up here. Not sure if I need to set an auto archive if I want them to be directly accessed through the Filter during or immediately after recording.
c) Example layout: 2 drives. Drive 1 contains Series, shows that I have multiple seasons recording to catch up on later (Stargate Atlantis and Big Bang Theory for example). Drive 2 contains the main recording directory, with sub-directories of "wife" and "kids". If I select "Series", "wife" or "kids", everything works fine. I was hoping that by selecting the Drive 2 folder, the sub-directories would also show up. This doesn't occur. I just want to filter out those shows that record multiple episodes a day of clogging things up!
2) Conflicts:
a) I LOVE the fact that if an episode isn't recorded at it's first time due to a conflict, it is scheduled for the first available slot. So in this case, if I have a conflict that I don't care to resolve by cancelling something else, it remains in "Conflicts" and can't be deleted without going into the database. Is that right? Should I be resolving these by selecting Cancel on the Resolve page? I remember cancelling individual instances of a series days in advance, but they would come back with the next epg update, and assumed that happened in conflicts too.
b) Any way that when you hit "resolve", if this show is scheduled to record in the future, it can be noted on that pop-up? Currently I have to see what options I have on resolve, then go into find all recordings for all options, and decide from there if I can get all shows.
Thanks again,
Joe
