XNEWA Error When Scheduling Recurring Recording of NEW Episodes

I've not had any luck getting XNEWA to setup recurring recordings. The most substantial issue is that when I try to setup a recurring recording of NEW episodes, a dialog box pops up that an error has occurred. If I change it to any other option (like record all episodes), I don't get an error, but the recording is not actually scheduled. I've included my XBMC log from an attempt to do both those things. The first attempt starts around line 834 (that's a recurring recording of new episodes), and the second attempt is just after that (a recurring recording of all episodes).

Also, XNEWA sets the default pre-padding to 2 minutes even though I have pre (and post) padding defaulted to 1 minute in the NPVR settings.

As some additional information, if I use the XBMC EPG with the NPVR enhanced dialog for Confluence, I seem to have more success with recordings (although I still have some specific challenges, but I'll post those separately). The pre and post padding also both show 1 minute as I would expect.

There is a python back which I fixed for the next release in XNEWA_Connect.py change this to True

recObj['onlyNew'] = true

Yes sorry I never got around to asking UJB what I should pass to get the defaults.

They are totally unrelated. XBMC PVR uses sub's xml and XNEWA uses use UJB's JSON in NEWA

OK, that change at least gets me a different error message, so that's an improvement. '-)

Now when I record NEW only I get a message that the recording was not scheduled. Attached is the XBMC log. You can see I'm getting a 500 code back from NEWA, so the error message is correct based on that.

Interestingly, I get the 500 code back when I use 2.3.1~beta2, but if I use 2.3.0 (with the modified XNEWAConnect.py, I get a different error message (it just says an error occurred). It seems like it 2.3.0 there is a TRY/EXCEPT in details.py that is getting triggered that in 2.3.1~beta2 doesn't get triggered. The outcome is still the same though. No recording set.

The 500 looks like it would be NEWA idiosyncrasy. Did the recurring record get created? Maybe there were no new recordings to schedule, it's that time of year, and the message 'Recording not scheduled." is informational.

Ah, I see. I think it did get created, or at least I saw a bunch of recurring recordings I thought hadn't worked when I was checking something this morning. So it probably scheduled them and then I didn't refresh to be able to see the updated list. I'll check on this more when I get back from my trip. For now let's assume everything is working fine.
