I had recorded The Big Bang Theory, but lost the first 4 seasons on a faulty hard drive. I would like to reset the recording history from that show so that it would record everything again. I believe that history is hidden in the database somewhere - is there something I could delete from there to have the history reset, or am I better off just setting up a recurring recording to record all shows, and then deleting that recurring recording when I am finished? I think I will run into an issue when the new season starts if I delete out the recurring recording after I've recorded what I want, but not sure...

By default it'll retain a 90 day of history of deleted shows. If you don't have already have ready recordings in your database for these shows, and they weren't in that 90 day history, then it'll record these new shows for you.

If you really need to delete the history, you can run "nextpvr.exe -removehistory", which will remove the history of deleted recordings.

Sorry that this is such a old thread, but Dumb question after i delete something is there a way to see all the recordings in the database that were recorded over time and just delete them myself if I ever need to rerecord something by chance like mythtv can do with mythweb.. I usually reencode TV shows and docs to make things smaller so I don't keep things in nextpvr for long

Assuming you are talking about the deleted history, then no you can't see it easily. It's in the database in the RECENTLY_DELETED table, but it won't be anything you'll find useful.
