XBMC Gotham 13.1 with NPVR "Live" add-on. Works brilliantly but - I can see TV channels in XBMC fine, but selecting a radio channel after a TV channel results in "No tuner available..." or something like that.

Selecting a TV channel will work after that, and radio works first up after a reboot. Both (Satellite) TV and Radio (same tuner card) are absolutely fine from the NPVR (3.2.9) GUI.

Apologies everyone if this is not strictly an NPVR issue.

What are you running XBMC on? I had this on windows machines running XBMC (http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...DVBT-Radio) and it was never solved. It's gone away since using Linux based XBMC, although I appreciate that's not necessarily a solution for everyone...

As fuzzweed said suspect it is a platform specific issue with xbmc? Be interesting to see what platform you are using if not on a simple linux box?!

I can't even get LiveTV let alone radio to play nicely on my pi with RaspBMC.

Not beyond Frodo anyway.

The XBMC is running on Win7 sp1. Gotham 13.1 supports the NPVR addon.

Dear Jim, just because you say Gotham 13.1 SAYS it supports the NextPVR add-on does not mean it may be true? But do not give up hope! It is platform specific. The inclusion of the PVR add-on within xbmc came quite late in Frodo.

That is brilliant that you have got this up and running with LiveTV anyway as there are loads of bugs going around since xbmc started PVR support anyway.

Geeeez wish I could get it working! Properly.

It won't happen overnight. Bummer?

Don't forget we are not paying for this? Oh yes actually I did donate....... to NextPVR so I have paid a little.....

As we all say all along logs logs logs:

Dr Johnson
Quote:You MUST ZIP and attach your logs to any support post. I can't stress this enough: Everyone providing help on the forums is pretty smart, but we're not clairvoyant; a good problem description AND logs makes it a lot easier to see what's going on, and you're more likely to get a correct first answer. To attach the logs, use the 'Go Advanced' button when posting, then click the paperclip and follow the onscreen instructions

I know this could be better laid out but why not tell us how it could be better?

cheers

Drifting off topic.... Frodo has been very stable with npvr on win 7 (except for radio) and also on openelec, both rpi and i386 versions (with working radio) . Last time I installed Gotham it seems to have trouble with mpeg2 streaming which is obviously causing problems for live SD TV.

Personally I've found XBMC / nPVR combo extremely stable. I'm it running on a 64bit version of Windows 7. In terms of tuners my 2x PCTV nanoStick T2 have been rock solid.
