Does anyone know if the MediaMVP-HD will work with NextPVR? Also what other NMT are people using to connect with NextPVR?

Thanks in advance for any help.

It could have been a really nice client, and Hauppauge even gave me the device but the Media-MVP software lead that needed to provide the software NDA never contacted me so after repeated attempts I gave up. It's a shame since it would have been the same power as the Sage HD300 which is a very popular device for SageTV>

The only true NMT clients are the NMT A100/A110 which are cheap on ebay, but the new web client gives similar functionality to Samsung BRD players and TVs, LG TVs and also to most XBMC devices. If I ever find a good enough device I may do another NMT port current ARM devices aren't up to all the things that a media player can do.

Hi Martin,

I had occasion to playback a 1080p 30fps mov made using my GoPro on the NMT A100 and to be honest it struggled. Is there an updated device that could replace the NMT A100/A110 series and that you could port? I exported the movie from the native 60fps 1080p I recorded it at.

If it struggled it sounds like it was the export that was the problem. The NMT shouldn't struggle with BluRay spec.

I am still trying to decide if it is worth porting another emulation mode, since the Kodi web client works fairly well, although I still think the NMT mode will give a faster so maybe. One of the interesting new things coming is headless Kodi which means in theory it should be easy to run my own UI and use Kodi for playback.

The ASUS Chromebox would certainly be a good box for me and it handles every sample I have but it is weakest on the newest standards like HDMI 2.0 and h/w HEVC so 4k 60fps h.265 is out of the question. It also isn't an Android player and some people want apps for Netflix etc.

Oh. Hmm it was 1080p, 29fps, 22mbps bitrate. File streaming from my computer via 100Mbps Ethernet should be OK?
