1. Any chance of implementing the ability to archive at folder level. I just archived a series of 40+ kids programs and it took a lot of key presses to do each individual recording.

2. This maybe to usage specific to me but I'm about to fill up a hard drive of files for me and the kids to watch while we are away from home over Christmas would it be possible to have a backup function? i.e. it copies the recording to a usb or other drive without deleting the database version?

Thanks for your hard work on NPVR, and Merry Christmas!

I just took a look at the files plugin - it is kinda what I want but not quite.

I have so many programs on my drive that I want to be able to read the show details/description and then copy - I don't think I can do that with the files plugin, so I'm better off using a combination of windows file manager and the recordings screen.
The ideal for me would be for it to all happen in the recordings menu.

You will be able to that is something that is going to be done in the skinning, the data was always there.

Doesn't matter where I do it at and Files gives you more options than from just the recordings menu. If you do any trans-coding, for example, you could set up a command to handle it for you on entire directories. Or if you use snip stream from Video Redo... You get the idea...

Got to admit that would be an awesome option to have, the descriptions available. Would allow a custom transfer to a flash drive for a road trip and with the option in config not to delete if root node is missing would keep the integrity of the database intact

Not only in the Files Plugin. I have been asking quietly for this for a wee while too :-)
