Hey that sounds nice.....but any sort of transcoding with Plex or Serviio to a non-computer (Xbox, PS3,4) client or android, iOS tablet, or remotely to my Samsung Note 3 would destroy that geezer.
Plus these Haswell chips along with the z97 chipset are incredibly efficient and easy on the electric bill. (running 3 hard drives now instead of 5). Transcoding already beats up that Core 2 duo chip that came out in late 07... early 08. It runs very hot. That i5 wont even break a sweat. Were talking apples and oranges here.
