To tell you any more, we'd really need to get the dump.ts for the situation where the recording has problems. This will tell us if it's something NextPVR is introducing, or if the device is delivering a broken stream.

I don't remember any other users with this issue though, but I don't think we have any users with multiple Colossus 1 devices. It'd could be some Hauppauge bug, or chipset conflict or anything really.

I'd be delighted to give you the dump. Do you have somewhere that I can upload the file to? It's just over 500MB. By the way, I'm at 24 hours now of flawless recordings since restarting nRecord. Enclosed is a MSINFO32 report from my system too.

You'd need to use something like dropbox or OneDrive or google drive, and then give me the URL to download it from.

I'll say it again though - the dump.ts is only going to be useful when the recording failed, so we can compare the two.

Sure thing, I'll take whatever you can gleam from the dump. This dump was definitely during a failed recording. I'll try and send you a PM with a way of getting it from me.

Something interesting I noticed today. The recordings were doing great up until after midnight last night. So I had roughly 24 hours of good recordings, and then everything after that point was a mess. Also, anything that recorded after midnight on Colossus #1 came out as a zero size file. Colossus #0 when it was used, came out as progressively smaller and smaller file until I restarted NRecord about 10:30 AM today. Now I am back to having successful records again on both Colossus cards.

I noticed that in the logs, it's reporting "Failed to set requested bitrate mode" on each recording after midnight. Not sure if that's helpful information to you.

Just curious to know if you also get a increasing rise in idle cpu usage, which is directly proportional to the number of times the Colossus cards are started/stopped, and whether bouncing nrecord clears this too.
See http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...or-a-while
Cheers.
