Hi There,

I have been enjoying using npvr for a couple years now. I love it but have been having a recurrent problem. Every 4 - 6 months it seems the EPG just stops updating. I have searched the forum with no suggested solutions working for me, but found in the past a reinstall or installing the new version has fixed the problem for me. This time upgrading hasn't worked for me, neither has deleting and rescanning my channels. Any help on this problem would be appreciated. Thanks so much! BTW I am upgrading using xmltv

Do you use mc2xml? This has been broken for most people a few weeks ago, when Microsoft changed their EPG data provider. If you are, you'll find the listings in your xml file are old and our of date, and you'll need to look at other options for getting your listings.

Okay. That must be it. I do use mc2xml and my EPG has been out for about 3 weeks. That's a shame because I thought mc2xml was the best free option if memory serves. I'll have to revisit the options. Much thanks, Sub.

The best North American option for use with NextPVR is Schedules Direct (sorry, not free). If you're running Vista Home Premium or Ultimate, installing the forbidden TV Pack would allow free Rovi data for WMC.

Thanks Zeb. I am only running vista business edition. I'm going to check out Schedules Direct. For now I'm surviving using the EPG that comes OTA. Smile
