determine channels

I have next all set up other than what to put in for the channels I want to access. I would like to use the channels from DexterTV, Phoenix and IPTV, but I have to list those in the settings and I don't know how to determine what goes in there. Can anyone help me get that info? Thanks.

What type of TV tuner will you have connected to your PC?

NextPVR is designed for TV tuners. It wont enable you to stream live tv from internet web sites.

All those channels are IPTV, not sure this will work for what you are looking for. Try Kodi and iVue TVGuide, I think that will provide what you need.

There are tutorials on using next with Kodi and I think they are using it to record IPTV streams through Kodi. Next is listed as a pvr client in the pvr list in Kodi. I know next will do cable and ota channels. I originally set it up for ota, but that was a waste when I found that the files were just as big as WMC. Might as well just stay with WMC there. I can get next to list IPTV as an input and it has a place to input the channels you want, but like I say I don't know what numbers to put in there. I am still working on this. Also I can get the ivue going, but similar problem I still haven't got it to sync with my addons.

You can't do what you want in NextPVR. The only type of IPTV channels it supports is local cable company multicast channels. It wont do iptv across the internet. You'd need to look for some other PVR backend.

Try the IPTV Simple or Simple IPTV add on for Kodi.
