Channel Number lookup from XLS

Would it be possible to match a channels SID to it's designated channel number from a master spreadsheet?
If I was to keep a master spreadsheet of channels we have (28.2E, 19.2E, 13E and maybe soon a DVB-C), would it be possible to build a feature whereby when I update, I can just lookup the SID against an XLS, or CSV, and NextPVR would assign the channel number and maybe Channel Nane?

Honestly, that's a pretty obscure feature so pobably not something I'd implment.

If you've gone that far though, you could probably just update the database aswell, to give you what you need.

I could use a SQLite Editor? If could recommend an approach, I'll give it a go?

You'd probably have to have your csv file generate SQL update statements, and you could then one of the many SQLite tool execute those statements against npvr.db3.

Just to put something out there...

Would it possible to use a reference site, like Lyngsat.com or some other, to use as a lookup?
NextPVR does a scan, checks the SID against Lyngsat. NextPVR allocates a channel number.

For rescans, NextPVR could then rescan and if the channel has changed transponder, name or whatever, it can update based on the SID?
