DirectTV and I believe Myth have a wonderful feature, you can continue watching a show when you stop in the middle and move to another room. This happens a lot in our house. We will start in the Den while we eat dinner and then move to the bedroom. Right now we have to start all over again and try to find our stopping point from downstairs. Is this possible to accomplish?

You can do that with a recording, but not with live tv.

I guess in live tv you could always hit the record button, then go to the other room and watch said recording.

To elaborate: when you want to continue watching a recording, you need to select the recording and then pick the "Resume" option rather than the "Play" option. (i.e. you can't just press the Play button with the recording selected. This functionality is also depended upon using a supported NextPVR client which stores and reads the resume point from the NextPVR database (NextPVR in client mode with a shared database, an NMT client, one of the web-based clients like X-NEWA, etc.).

Brett, we use the select button not the play button and it starts for the beginning. It sounds like this feature is there but somehow I am not setting or using this right. Is this correct?

if you use "select" or "OK" depending on remote you should see a rusume button (pic below)
have you set your clients up as clients in settings? settings>devices tab (at bottom should point to server machine that does the recording where they are stored)
does your tvguide populate on the client machines?(easiest way to test if client is talking to server machine)

Note that the "Resume" option will only be displayed when a resume point has been stored in the database. Normally, a NextPVR client will save a resume point time when you stop playback. (Depending upon settings, it may not save a resume point if you play all the way to the end of a recording--or close to the end.)
