Older Card AverTV HD DVR C027 Configuration

Has anyone set this card up to work with NPVR? I tried but seem to be having issues in the setup that haven't produced any picture for playback.

I currently have it running on Windows 10 with the Aver Software and I can watch and record HDTV coming from an HDMI splitter out of my IPTV Box.
There's only the current channel or DVR'd program outputting from that HDMI. I'd much rather use NPVR if it can be set up as I like the quality and features.

Any ideas would be helpful.

Sorry, that device wont work. For that type of capture device, you pretty much need to be using a Hauppauge device, like the Colossus2 or HDPVR2 etc.

I assume that NextPVR sees the device and that you have a channel setup. You should be able to specify a manual recording on that one channel and that should produce a file on disk that contains the recording. If you can control the tuner with GraphEdit you can use NetworkRecorder + sGraphRecorder.

I'll have to research your response so I understand how to use that related software but beyond that have not yet been able to configure beyond a blank screen. Wasn't sure if I was making wrong codec choices or somewhere else in configuration. Thanks again and if it's any clue got it to play in VLC but not ideal at all for what I'd like to see.

To play in NextPVR you need to have a graph that creates a ts file maybe try Tuner > NPVR TS Mon > NPVRWriter. You will need to play around with timings to get live tv working try recordings first.
