Thanks everyone for their support thus far. I don't think my dish is badly aligned. It was set up by an engineer many moons ago and since then I've had sky boxes and eyetv attached to it without any issue finding channels. As a test I've actually created an xml file with some of the missing channels (itv3, tiny pop) and imported them manually and that's actually worked - channel pictures fine - so at least I've found a workaround, albeit a laborious one!

I'm happy to try to help you work out why. To make it easier to follow the logs, you'd probably need to make a cut down satellite ini with just one of the frequencies that should have channels, but none are found, then do a scan, and post the npvr.log. After a look at that initial scan, I'd ask you to add some special registry settings for collecting even more detailed info.

Thanks sub
I'll have a bit more of a play and if that fails I'll get back in touch with the results from a cut down ini. Cheers

Hi Sub,
Right this is all a bit bizarre. 1. I imported every channel I was missing by creating xml files. They all work fine without exception. Took me over an hour to do though!!!! 2. I've now run a cut down .ini just for frequency 11307 which wasn't finding any channels, and this time it found them. Log attached for this .ini 3. I then put back the full .ini and ran the scan again. It then found none on 11307 again... Very strange! Obviously all fine at my end now that I have my full channel list loaded, though updating channels in the future will obviously be a bit more of an issue. Thanks |
