Recording playback freezes after 10 mins (v3.8.3)

Maybe a coincidence, but after upgrading to 3.8.3 I can no longer watch a recording via NextPVR or via the Kodi plugin. In either case the session locks up after watching for 10 mins. I have to reboot to start again. Attaching logs from one of these times. Also attaching a pic of decoder config. Let me know what I need to do to debug this.

Have you got any other MPEG2 video decoders you can try? The LAV Video Decoder is known to not play nicely with NextPVR.

No others available, but willing to get a different one if you have a reco. Is there any reason why this would have changed due to the version upgrade? Same config was working fine before.

No - but something may have changed in your stream.

Personally I use the MainConcept MPEG2 decoder that came with my video capture card software. If you're looking for a free one, maybe try ffdshow - use 32 bit version, and make sure you enable MPEG2 during install (since it's disabled by default)

The Cyberlink Video Decoder 13 works fairly well for me. Its only problem on my setup is that it won't disengage from a recorded file, but just hangs on the last scene. Hitting stop will usually get you back where you belong.

thanks for the decoder suggestions. I upgraded to the 160929 patch and my issue went away. I will keep the other suggestions in case trouble arises, but for now it looks like I am back to where I was before....
