I do suspect the the recording service is hanging causing problems on port 8968 but that has nothing to do with Iain's post.

MrReis Wrote:This problem is still happening for me. COMCAST sent a technician and all he did was measure the signal strength and said it was OK. I asked SiliconDust about it and they asked "Have you reported this problem to NPVR?"Lets collect more info on what what we're being sent from the HDHR. Create a c:\temp directory, and set HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\NPVR\LogNetPush=1 (DWORD), try watching that channel, then post the npvr logs, and the c:\temp\netpush.txt

This problem may very well be a COMCAST problem - see the following three TIVO forum posts that seem related to me: Comcast Mpeg-4 issues: View but not Record, Comcast MPEG-4 in Bay Area/ and None of my minis will tune in channel that comes in fine on roamio/ You may be able to find a work-around for this COMCAST problem in NextPVR, but I'm not sure that is the best use of your time. That being said, the information (files) you requested are attached to this post. Thank you.

Great!
Technical description...It related to a "long PMT", containing extra "CA descriptors", which the app had to strip out. |
