Jeff,

I started using gbpvr several weeks ago and installed Video Archiver last week. That's a short way of say that I probably missed the answers to the following questions

Q1: Does VA recognize filename extensions other than .mpg? For the longest time, several video files weren't showing up. Eventually I noticed that they had .mpeg extensions. Renaming the files solved the problems. Although perhaps being able to specify extensions in VA setup would be preferable/easier.

Q2: Several of my videos just show information about their record date and time. Does a program/utitilty exist similar to the "DVD Info Editor.exe" that will allow me to add descriptions?

Thanks in advance. You and everyone else on this gbpvr project have created something quite amazing.

Cheers,

Rob

For Q1, right now the plug-in just looks for .mpg and .avi. There is no provission to add extensions other than by me adding them to the code.

For Q2, the answer is no. I have been meaning to create such a utility but have not gotten around to it yet. The reason, by the way, that shows end up with just their date and time listed is that sometimes the the program guide info does not include an episode name. In this case, rather than simply list each episode using the name of the show (which would make them all look the smae in the list) the plug-in makes up an episode name using the recording date and time. Recently a bunch of shows I regularly record did not include episode names in the program guide so I had a number of these show up in my recordings list. I am not wild about how this looks ether so this has motivated me to bump the priority of the utility up in my to-do list.
