NOOB Question: Base URL for Reverse Proxy?

I'm new to NPVR, and I love it! Got it all set up great up on LAN, but I need to configure my MS IIS webserver to host the reverse proxy to the NPVR WebUI
So, How can I set the Base URL for the local NPVR webserver? Also, is there a way to disable auth completely? I'm using the stock webui. THX

Sorry, I think you're out of luck. It's not currently possible to set the base url.
It always shows the login if it thinks the request is coming from a remote IP address. I guess if the request looked like it was coming from a local IP address (of the IIS machine on the same network), then it may not end up prompting you for this. (but without that configurable base address, you may not be able to test that theory)

Why are you asking for a base url? Reverse proxy doesnt need a base url. Can you explain a bit more. You can use rewrite rules. I assume you want to go from http://mydomain.com/nextpvr and talk to the backend nextpvr server correct?

With the 3.9.2 version of nPVR I was able to use UltiDev Pro to set a base url and so allow reverse proxying via nginx. 4.0.4 doesn't seem to allow access by UltiDev at all.

I don't understand exactly what you mean though, so you'd probably have to explain what NextPVR is doing differently, if we're to have any hope of helping/fixing this issue.

NOt familiar with ultiDev, took a look at it but dont' understand how to use it with NPVR, care to explain? I'd really love to be able to set a base URL for reverse proxy. |
