Long manual recording stops

So I tried to record/watch while being behind today's super long UFC event and after an hour each time the recording stopped. It's an iptv stream on a live event channel with no epg info. I don't think it was the stream cutting out because when I was watching on the live channel slightly behind it would just jump to live when it happened not cut out. The log said "Past end time of recording" when this would happen and I could start another manual recording no problem. Anything I can do to change this behavior?

You didn't post on the Kodi sub-forum and you didn't include the Kodi debug log to help check but you do need 3.3.13 or higher of the addon to play in progress recordings without restart.

I do have Kodi 18.1 and the latest pvr add-on and sorry didn't know I had to post kodi logs or post in that forum should I make a thread over there? Here's the zip with the kodi log included

That's not a debug Kodi log so not much help, except you do have the correct version of the and all the NextPVR logs show is some timeshifted LiveTV nothing from earlier with the time of the problem. Best to just try another in progress recording with debug logs enabeled to see if you can duplicate the problem You have to catch it right away. Also you may have to refrain from seeking too close (perhaps 20-30 seconds) from the live part of in-progess recordings.
