Sub, a users sent me an m3u file from his satellite receiver and I imported it and NextPVR imports it with transcoding URL's If I want to change this to mpegts is removing the transcoding markup enough for it to maintain any limit?

Code:
update channel_mapping
set service_type = 25,
tuning = replace(tuning,'<transcode>true</transcode>','')

The <transcode>true</transcode> bit is historic, and kind of pre-dates the normal IPTV support in NextPVR. Now days, with this tag is mostly ignore, it'll still usually support reading the stream without transcoding anyway (depending on the mime type). For it to work properly for live tv in NextPVR.exe, you may need to the service_type to 1 if it's MPEG2 video.

Thanks the URL's are like pretty generic

http://ip:8001/1:0:1:1:D7:2:1A0000:0:0:0:

and NextPVR won't try and transcode that one even with the markup? Should it just work if he leaves the 4121 service type from the import.

This isn't for direct play on the web this is for recording from the source if that matters. He did mention that he has lots of problems in the past.

It shouldn't try to transcode it, but it'd probably depend on the mime type returned by that url.
