I migrated to V5 and imported the v4 xml for recordings.  I corrected the XML export from v4 before importing for a new folder I moved the recordings to however I realized I needed to correct two moves to a new file location (I only corrected one of them prior to import).   What is the best way to correct this?  (I'm not good with DB3 editing or better said, have never done it).  I know this is a simple find and replace command. Ideally is there a way to reimport the recording XML with the corrected file location?  I'm guessing I would need to delete the incorrectly located files in NextPVR and then reimport after updating the xml file. If I reimport files with the exact same location will that create a duplicate entry?

I'm assuming the files that were not at the correct before the import, didn't actually end up in NextPVR's recording list? You should be safe to reimport with the paths now corrected, and it should just add the recordings it doesn't already have.

Thanks, here is exactly what happened. Under v4 I used room on my boot drive to record along with two other locations. I converted the two non-boot locations to a dynamic drive and moved all recordings to that drive, exported the recording xml from v4, edited the xml with a replace for all on the third drive and imported. Worked perfect but then I realized I also wanted to move my boot drive recordings over to the same drive but I had already imported. They are imported and work in V5 recording folder.

If I move or delete the current recordings on the c drive will next pvr remove from the DB or is there a cleanup function?  and then I can reimport the xml with the new file locations?

There is a cleanup function based if set this to true in config.xml

<AutoRemoveMissingRecordings>false</AutoRemoveMissingRecordings>

PERFECT!  Thanks so much. So I should be able to correct the C:\ address (convert to my D drive) in the export recording backup XML v4, make sure the above is on in Config.xml, move the files and all should cleanup in the recording list.

PS the Extra tuner support you provided me is still working great on my Ceton!  Thanks again.
