With V4 I was able to edit the ATSC scan lists in the Tuning/ATSC folder so that scanning the OTA channels in my area went much faster and picked up only the channels I wanted.

Editing these lists in V5 seems to make no difference since the lists I can pick from when performing a scan seem to come from a different source.

In V5, is there no way to use my own list when scanning for OTA channels?

Another but related question - I've not found a way to scan for a single channel to be added to my existing channel list.  Can this be done with V5?

Thanks in advance for any help provided here.

The files are now in "C:\Program Files\NextPVR\data\tuning\ATSC"  and you need to edit them as admin.  The format is exactly the same as v4 so you could move in the v4 file assuming there were no repacks in your area.  33 in the new  high number so scanning all channels is faster in general.

For scanning a single channel you can create a new file and pick it.

Code:
[CABTYPE]
1=Channel Name
2=All Frequencies

[DVB]
0=1
1=##,0,0

Thanks again for your help!

I had found the files and edited them but forgot change the the info on line 1 so I was unable to find the edited file in the drop-down when attempting to do the scan.  My bad!

If I do a single channel scan in the manner you suggest, won't that "remove" all existing channels?

It should be no problem, rescans from the various tuner types don't delete channels, that is done on the channel screen. You always have the option of copying npvr.db3 before any operation.
