Shield TV - Going around in circles trying to instal Client

Hey Everyone,

I'm a long time user of NPVR and love it. 
Recently started having issues with the KODI add-on (Matrix! Grr!), so have started looking at other options, and the Android client was worth a shot, so I installed it on my phone to test so as not to upset the wife whilst watching via Kodi.
Anyway, no issues what-so-ever, excellent, I'll go an install it on the Shield, which uses my google account.

Found it via the app store, only option is to pay again, so off I go an submit the payment.
Google comes back and says, you already own this, so refunds me straight away, and still no option to install.
I find it listed in the Library of Apps, not installed on that device, and open it, and it takes me back to the purchase page, and around and around we go.....

Am I missing something? Surely you can have it installed on multiple devices with the same google account?
Happy to pay per device, as it's well worth it, but who should I be contacting? Is it an NPVR thing or Google???

Anyway, any advice appreciated, if some one else has seen similar.

What issues are you having with the Kodi addon? If it is playback related you might very well have it with the Android client they use the same h/w engine.

In the Play store do you have an option to install from other installed apps?

Hey Martin,
Apologies, completely missed you reply.....

Turns out it is a playstore bug, somehow puts you in the infernal loop, untill you clear some data and caches.

Figured it out in the end.

The Kodi addon is not so much issues with playback, but after watching recorded TV, Kodi hangs when you press the stop button, and sometimes crashes.
Other little things that are going wrong within Kodi itself too, when the wife starts complaining, I have to start looking at other options.
The unfortunate thing is, there's not a lot of 'all-in-one' options available for media, live tv,DVR and the like. Every one of them has issues in one way or another.....
I used WMC for years, yep, it was basic, basic to setup and it worked, Kodi has been good to me for quite a while now, but the forced updates are killing me. Things that worked, now don't, or addons are no longer supported, blah, blah, blah. And on Android devices, you can't roll back or avoid the updates...

Anyway,
Problem has been solved with the play store, 
NPVR client is working, as good as it can, for android TV, so we are all good.

Feel free to post Kodi debug logs in the Kodi sub-section and we can look at that stop problem I actually have not seen this. Of course fixes only come in Matrix so if you are using Leia there is nothing I can do but I can still look at the logs.

At this point it's hard for me to feel any sympathy for users with python issues with unsupported addons and skins. Kodi did give lots of notice that the change was coming, I released a python 2/3 (Leia Matrix) version of knewc over two years ago for general user testing. Yes it took time because it is a big addon but it wasn't really difficult.
