EPG Refresh hanging on ATSC Scan

Hello,

I'm having an issue regarding the EPG System on Linux - for some reason it's refusing to cooperate properly with my tuner and it's causing the tuner to lock up while it tries to scan for EPG Data. I'm well aware of EPG support on Linux for ATSC data being deprecated more or less, but It's not letting me pull data from Schedules Direct as a result. I even unchecked all EPG channels in the configuration for ATSC EPG, and it still insists on scanning all of them.

Anyone have any idea on how I can fix this?

Sub has a change in the ATSC EPG scan coming for the next release that fixed a lock on the tuner I was seeing. ATSC EPG isn't deprecated, it is often just a waste of time so good to hear you have SD.

You should post zipped attachments and importantly the entire zip file that NextPVR creates so we can look for the problem, It shouldn't be doing the OTA scan if no devices are set.

You can try http://ip:8866/service?method=channel.list&extras=true to see if some channels still are not mapped.

I've uploaded a copy of my log archive that I freshly made here, along with the service.xml for the channel mappings - as far as I can tell, each channel is accounted for - Should I possibly do a rescan to see if that might fix it?

Okay, so I managed to find the problem - the setup guide I had for Kodi (which I was setting NextPVR up for) didn't tell me I needed to define that NPVR needs to use SD in the channel group menu.

Firefox and Chrome are telling me that file contains malware and won't allow the download. Simply attach the zip to your post and avoid dodgy upload sites. If you use external sites GoogleDrive, OneDrive, DropBox are good choices.

On the Settings->Channels screen, click Advanced Tools -> Automap, and set ATSC to 'None'. It'll no longer try to update the EPG from the ATSC EPG.
