V5 Device Priority issue

Hi

I am having trouble with the device priority. I am not 100% sure it is NextPVR but I would like some assistance.  

in the device list I have set tuner as #1&2 (103xxx) for top priority however when I set a stream or recording it defaults to tuner #3&4 (106xxxx).  Multiple restarts and restart the service have been attempted however nothing seems to change it.

I did have V4 on this machine and upgraded to V5.  Might there be a left over file that is messing things up?

Tuner 1&2 work great on all RF except for RF 33, tuner 3&4 does not have this issue.  I would like tuner 3&4 to be second in line so that this RF is available for recordings/live stream when needed.  However it does not want to cooperate.

By default, NextPVR uses the tuners in a "top down" priority for recordings and "bottom up" priority for Live TV. I believe that there is a config.xml setting that can disable that behavior. Also, the NextPVR tuner selection process is rather complex and nuanced. There are factors that can affect it such as if a tuner capable of multi-record is already being used/tuned to a compatible frequency and if a tuner is "scheduled" to be used for an upcoming recording. The selected tuner is not always going to be the most optimized--especially if you have several recordings back-to-back and overlapping (with the padding).

How did you upgrade?  If you copied your database you will need to redo you HDHR tuners.  There are lots of failures connecting.

Ok, after digging into a bit more i discovered my issue and have resolved it. I completely uninstalled my HDHOMERUN software and NEXTPVR(over kill but completed anyway). After reinstalling both, it was up to the same thing so the NPVR.DB3 was deleted. Upon device(channel) rescan, the channel settings page needs to show 1 channel, if you have multiple channels (duplicates) it does not work. So in my case RF 33 (4.1-4.4) showed 2 sources (1 tuner) all the rest of the channels follow the priority list and have 6 sources (all three tuners).

When 4.1 is selected NextPVR picks the correct tuner that is identified. I am hoping that scheduler will have logic that if I am recording 4 shows or so that it woudl not lock that tuner on another channel but time will tell...
