It makes sense that "all channels" list the channels from all devices but where's the stand-alone list for just the HDHR Prome?
From memory there should be a "HDHomeRun Channels", and it should contain all HDHR channels, from both types of your device.

I can't see any code that creates a "HDHR Prime" group. In general it's not intending to create channel groups for the different types of HDHR devices you have, so I wouldn't expect to see a group for this.

Martin

I assume under the "Advances Tools" in Settings/Channels?
Which one? Auto Merge, Or Merge?

Maybe a merge would put them all under the HDHomeRun group.

No.

Groups are totally separate. They are just a way for you to display a subset of channels. You can manually create groups from the web app Settings | Channels | Advanced Tools | Channel Groups menu. And there you can add channels to groups or remove them. But again, these are just was to display a subset of channels on the Guide. They do not do anything with respect to actual recording functionality, etc.

Merging is used to "link" 2 (or more) channels from different tuner sources together and treat them as a single channel. This merged channel will just be displayed in the Guide once and any recordings set to be made on that channel can use any of the tuners which have that merged channel available.

In your situation, presuming that you have some of the same channels available via cable (and the HDHR Prime with a cable card) and also have the same channels available OTA (via the HDHR Flex), you could merge those channels so that they will only display in the guide once and any recordings set for one of them would be able to use any of the available tuners. I'm not sure if that is really what you are wanting to do or not.

NextPVR does automatically add new channels on new tuners to a "tuner" group but if you have different tuners merged together then groups wouldn't really be possible.

Thanks. Yes the the main OTA channels are also available through cabletv but the cable company has the HD channels starting in the 500s and I'm ok having them separate so I can choose which source I record from.

OK. I thought that might be the case. So, then you do NOT want to merge the channels.

If you just want to have 2 separate groups for the Prime and Flex channels, simply create a new group for the HDHR Prime channels and add those channels to that group.

Got it. Thanks.
