favorites list

I would love to have a favorites list so that I can easily browse my favorite channels in one folder. I have an iptv service with thousands of channels and dozens of folders.
If I could pick my own channels it would be easier to find programs I want to record or watch and not miss as much because I did not check that folder.

Go here https://github.com/sub3/NextPVR/wiki/Add...t-channels and read about channel groups. Name the group you are adding to "Favorites".

This group is selectable and available in most NextPVR clients.

You can create channels groups already for exactly the same functionality. Go to Settings->Channels, click Advanced Tools -> Channel Groups, add a group called "Favourites", select it, then tick all the channels you want included.

Realistically though, with IPTV, I just wouldn't bother importing thousands of channels you're never going to use. Why make everything slower just to have piles crappy channels you'll never watch.

When you import your channels, I always click the filter button before saving them, untick 'all channels', then only tick the groups you're actually interested in. ie, like 'US Entertainment' or whatever. No point grabbing thousands of foreign language channels etc you have no interest in. They make your database bigger, and it become slower to look up some information.
