Recently my provider had a fight with a network and we lost 2 of our 4 local channels.  That prompted me to pick up a used SD hdfx-2us for OTA.  It works great but since then the network and provider settled their spat I've relegated the OTA channels to backup status as they sometimes have a bit of signal issues.  I've set up the OTA channels as separate channels designated as "xxxx-OTA" instead of merging them so we always get the cable TV unless we specifically tune the OTA channels.

That's worked great until today when I noticed a glitch.  To record a old 1 off episode I've been using a  advanced recording with "all channels" so I could pick up a specific episode from any of the channels that rebroadcast those old episodes.  The problem is NextPVR is picking up the episode on the OTA tuner before the HDHR-prime tuners.

The long and the short of it is there any way to set the tuner priority for these "all channels" recordings other than disabling the OTA tuner?

Advanced recordings don't use tuner order, skip duplicates, so you might need to use dedicate channel anytime recordings.

Sub,
Would it be possible to add an option to exclude a specific tuners from recording?

I'd really like to stay away from modifying the database directly but if it's the only option maybe point me to the location of the sql strings so I could doctor it up like so?

title like '%Chicago Fire%' and subtitle like '%A Beautiful Life%' and channel (or whatever) > 100'

You can already do that as channel_oid if you know what you are doing. Look at the channel_mapping table to see if it is feasible.

Code:
select channel_source_number, channel_oid
from channel_mapping
order by channel_oid;

Your query requires a join which is not how the advanced query works.

Honestly, probably not. I can't really imagine the sort of abomination UI would be required to shoehorn that in there.
